Volunteer Opportunities

 

    Valley View Retirement Community is looking for Volunteers. There are many ways to volunteer your time. you may work directly with our residents or work behind the scenes doing a variety of activities.

 

 

    Opportunities are available in the following areas:

 

Cafe - Serving food, running cash register.

General Activities - Assisting Activities, friendly visitors, library cart, manicurist, etc.

Gift Shop - Working in the gift shop during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 10:00am to 4:00pm, and on Saturday 11:00am to 3:00pm.

In-house Transportation - Moving residents to and from Beauty Shop, Therapy, and special events.

Junior Volunteers - Assisting in activities, passing nourishments, in-house transportation, etc.

Kitchen - Assisting in Dinning room, filling condiment containers, etc.

Laundry/Housekeeping - Labeling, plant care, mending, sewing, folding.

Maintenance - Carpentry work, painting, trash collecting.

Quilting - quilting takes place from April to November on Tuesday evenings and Wednesday mornings.

Receptionist/Business Office - Covering front desk during meetings, delivering mail and newspapers, selling employee meal tickets. Assisting in the Business Office.

Sunday Chapel - Playing organ/piano, song leaders, and transporting residents to and from Chapel Service.

Transportation - Assisting transportation aide to and from appointments, and weekly errands.
