Valley View Retirement Community has other services available to residents and their families, staff as well as the general public. These services include overnight accommodations, beauty and barber shop services, banking services, transportation services, and notary public services. A gift shop and cafe are also available to anyone wanting to visit them.

Mildred's Place

    Mildred's Place provides a convenient overnight stay for family and friends visiting Valley View residents. The place comfortably sleeps four in our two bedroom cottage. You are welcome to use the TV, appliances, cookware, and utensils. There is a washer and dryer located in the garage. There is an iron and ironing board in the closet next to the bathroom. Housekeeping services are not providing during your stay. Parking is available, however, smoking and pets are not permitted.

    The rate is $55.00 per night plus tax. "Check out time" is 12:00 noon. Payment may be made at the front desk at Valley View Haven. Credit Cards are not accepted. Keys should be returned to the front desk at Valley View Haven.

Beauty & Barber Shop Services

    As a service to our residents beautician and barber services at "Dana's Silver Scissors Salon" are available near the main lobby by the cafe of the Haven lobby. These services are available to all Valley View residents, Mondays through Fridays, 8:00am to 4:00pm. For an appointment call 717-935-2105 and ask for the Beauty Shop. Current charges are posted and billed to the resident.

Banking Services

    Kish Bank offers part-time banking services to all residents and staff at Valley View Retirement Community. Banking hours on campus are Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00am to 4:00pm. The bank is located at the west end of the administrative wing.

Transportation Services

    Transportation Services may be providing for a minimal fee to those residents that may require transportation for personal reasons. these services are offered in both the Haven and the Terrace for  doctor appointments, dentist appointments and other places residents may want or need to go. Notary Public Services

    Valley View offers onsite Notary Public Services to the residents and staff. For an appointment dial 717-935-2105 and ask for the Administrative Secretary.

Gift Shop

    The Treasure Chest Gift Shop is located in the Administrative Wing beside the Courtyard Cafe. The gift shop is opened for 10:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday and 11:00am to 2:00pm on Saturdays. It is opened to residents, staff, and the general public. The proceeds from the gift shop go to the Ladies Auxiliary for a fund raising project. The gift shop is operated by volunteers. Cafe

    The Courtyard Cafe offers daily lunch and supper specials Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 6:30pm. Proceeds from the cafe go to the Ladies Auxiliary for a fund raising project.
